In Indian wedding traditions, the Flower Umbrella (Chattri) signifies royalty and protection. Historically used to shade kings and nobility, it now serves to highlight the most important person in the procession—the Groom (or the Bride during her entry).
At LuxuryBaraat.com, we do not simply rent out umbrellas. We provide a complete Floral Chattri Service. This includes the custom-decorated umbrella and a trained bearer who walks alongside the Ghodi or Baggi, ensuring the canopy stays perfectly positioned for photos and comfort.
For the Groom (Sherwani)
For the Bride (Lehenga)
For the Couple (Entry Together) We recommend the “Twin Canopy” approach—two matching umbrellas carried side-by-side, or one large mega-umbrella held by two bearers for the couple’s walk.
A fresh flower umbrella weighs between 3kg to 6kg depending on the density. This is why we include a professional bearer in the package.
We use a “double-knot” technique and floral foam. While some natural shedding occurs (especially with marigolds), the umbrella retains its shape and volume throughout the procession.
We can dress our staff in costumes you provide to match a specific theme (e.g., Rajasthani, Mughal).
As fresh flowers are perishable, the umbrella is dismantled after the event. However, if you wish to keep the frame as a memento, we can arrange that.
We believe the umbrella should match the outfit. Our team designs fresh flower umbrellas that complement the groom’s sherwani or the bride’s lehenga.
